I’m an INFJ Advocate/Crusader - Here’s What That Means

I’ve taken the Myers-Briggs Personality Test twice, and both times I landed as an INFJ - the rarest personality type, with less than 2% of the world sharing it. Turns out, I’m in pretty good company: Carl Jung, J.K. Rowling, Martin Luther King Jr., Mother Teresa, Abraham Lincoln, Vincent van Gogh, Lady Gaga, C.S. Lewis, Kobe Bryant, Ayn Rand, Friedrich Nietzsche, and Georgia O’Keeffe are all INFJs too.
So, what’s an INFJ like? Often called the Crusader or Advocate, it’s a blend of intuition, empathy, and a quiet drive to make the world better. I tend to see the big picture - dreaming up ideas and possibilities - yet I’m very private. You might catch me lost in thought, piecing together how people and systems connect. I feel things deeply (sometimes too much!) and care about others - friends, strangers, even causes that intrigue me. That’s the “Advocate” in me: I want to help, uplift, and inspire, even if I don’t shout it from the rooftops.
Here’s the twist, though—I’m not just a dreamer. The “Crusader” side gives me a stubborn streak. I get fired up over causes that intrigue me, and when I believe in something, I’ll fight for it with everything I’ve got—preferably with calm conviction over chaos. Small talk? Not my thing (sorry if I zone out during weather chats!). But I thrive on meaningful conversations - the late-night, soul-baring kind.
In short, I’m a paradox: introspective yet passionate, calm yet fierce. If I seem intense or hard to read, I’m likely overanalyzing how to make life better—for you, for me, or for everyone. Stick with me, and I’ll always have your back!
